Cover Letter and Resume
The cover letter needs to conform to the standards of business correspondence and should be addressed to the Admissions Committee. It should point out the features of your resume that you believe will be of interest to the committee, drawing from your education, work experience, extracurricular activities, awards and honors. Please provide brief comments on your career goals and those factors that influenced your decision to pursue a graduate business education at Cox.
Your resume should portray your work experience, educational history, and significant extracurricular activities in the way that you would present them to a prospective employer.
Essay Questions:
1.
Describe your short-term and long-term career objectives. How would a Cox graduate degree help you achieve these goals? In addition to a Cox graduate degree, what experiences and attributes do you personally possess that will help you achieve your goals? (2 pages typed, double-spaced)
2.
Full-Time MBA, JD/MBA, Professional MBA, (MS Management and MS Entrepreneurship) applicants must answer this question:
Please provide a detailed example from your professional experience related to one of the following topic areas: a) risk-taking; b) teamwork; c) failure; or d) innovation. (1-2 pages typed, double spaced)
3.
OPTIONAL Essay. Please provide any additional information you believe would be helpful to the Admissions Committee. This essay could be used to explain any unclear elements of your application (i.e. gaps in work experience, lower GMAT/GPA) to provide the Admissions Committee with a clearer picture of your candidacy.
