Bellerbys
College
OVERVIEW
After 20 years,
Bellerbys
College is quite simply the best university preparation college for international students in the
UK.
We provide first class teaching, expert guidance and the highest levels of pastoral support. We will enable you to fulfil your academic potential and win a place at the best university for you.
Whether you choose to study with us in
Oxford,
Cambridge,
London or Bighton, we look forward to welcoming you to our community and helping you achieve the success you deserve.
As our student body is largely international, this means our courses and support structures are tailor-made to cater for the international student, unlike most
UK institutions where international students are in the minority.
Our students are able to pursue the university courses of their choice because we provide them with first-class teaching, guidance and pastoral support. We prepare our students fully, enabling them to achieve results equal to those from the best schools and colleges in the
UK. Our centres are based in key university cities and all provide students with the ideal academic setting for their studies.
Our reputation with
UK universities is outstanding and over the years Bellerbys students have won places at all of the
UK's universities.
Academic strengths
With Bellerbys, you will have access to some of the best teachers in the
UK. Our teaching is stimulating, dynamic and practical. Your learning experience will be demanding but highly enjoyable. Lessons are disciplined and focused, but are also interactive and flexible. You'll be given personal encouragement throughout. It's a great way to learn. Above all, it's a successful way to learn.
We offer students small teaching groups (average 9 students), preliminary intensive English language preparation, ongoing language support, preparation for the necessary language examinations for university entry and a comprehensive range of university study skills.
In 2005, 75% of A-level grades were A or B, with 33% of our A level students achieving AAA or better. Our Foundation programmes are accepted by 38
UK and Irish universities with a guarantee of entry for successful graduates. Bellerbys has placed students to all
UK universities.
Facilities
Each college campus has facilities designed to fulfil the needs of the various courses on offer, including art & design studios, laboratories, computer suites equipped with up-to-date hardware, software, free internet and email, and a library for the use of all students.
Private study rooms offer peace and quiet to aid concentration. To unwind students can relax in the common room or make use of the college restaurant, which serves international menus including Halal and vegetarian meals.
Student life
Security and happiness are absolutely essential elements during a course of academic studies abroad. We have developed an exceptional system of care and support which is designed around the unique needs of international students. Full pre-arrival information and material is sent to the student upon enrolment. Bellerbys Student Services arrange transfers for students upon arrival in the
UK. After arrival, students take part in an induction programme designed to orientate students with life in the
UK and in the college. Dedicated counsellors assist with any other issues arising, in the student's own language if necessary. Various social activities and excursions are also organised.
